Warning: It's possible that there may be some quotes in this thread that could be spoilers.

Five good ones from GW1: Legion of Gold by Nol Drek:

1: NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST. NICE JOB, CHIEF.

2: "NOW YOU MUST DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!"

3: DO YOU TRY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD?

4: WHAT COULD BE WORSE THAN FLYING LIONS? HOW ABOUT FLYING LIONS WITH EYE BEAMS!

5: THEY GIVE DULL PARTIES AND PUKE ACID AT INOPPORTUNE TIMES.

"I see dead superheroes."

From "Major Mystery".

That's actually from two mods, Superdead and Major Mystery Serial Chapter One: "To Smell a Rat"

More fully:  "MY NAME IS TOBIAS HAMILTON SWANE.  AND I SEE DEAD SUPERHEROES."

A line so nice, I used it twice.   ;D

Apologies to M. Night Shyamalan.

Regarding his last name, btw, here's the origin:

(Origin Danish) A swan. Swain, a youth, a servant, a herdsman.

I think the last is most appropriate for Major Mystery.

I haven't played Superdead yet, but I will.

Here's another quotation, this time from Olvier's Two Cities:

"I am related by second grade to a friend of the nephew of that guy whose father saw the first house appear on the plains and I'm one hundred percent sure he said it was colored yellow!"

5 quotable lines from

Marshall Mars: Mars in Misalignment

1: MARZY, MARZY, MARZY; YOU'RE SUCH A BULLET-HEADED BOOBY.

2: YOU CAN ONLY SUFFER, --MORTIFIED, AS HER WORDS TATTOO, LIKE HOT NEEDLES, DEGRADING, EROTIC PICTURES, INTO YOUR MIND!

3: O, WITLESS PIG, --THY PROGENY WOULD HAVE BEEN LORDS OF CREATION!

4: OINK.

5: REBELLION ISN'T ENOUGH, --BUT THAT YOU HAVE TO ADD A POTTY MOUTH TO IT?

Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

Four lines of interest from Superman Robot Number 6 by D.r.a.k.e.:

1. THE ALIEN ZOO HAS BECOME A COLLAGE OF HORROR!

2. YOU HATE TO CONSIDER IT, BUT WHAT IF KRYPTO HAS CONTRACTED SOME FORM OF SPACE RABIES?

3. HOW CAN EVEN SUPERMAN CONSTANTLY LIVE UP TO THE IDEAL THAT HE HAS COME TO REPRESENT?

4. HOW DOES A GOD TAKE A DAY OFF, AND THEN NOT FEEL GUILTY AS HE READS OF A TRAGEDY IN THE NEXT MORNING'S PAPER: SOME EVENT THAT HE COULD EASILY HAVE PREVENTED IF HE'D ONLY BEEN THERE?

It's funny.

Superman Robot Number 6 is one of my favorite mods, but I thought it would be more quotable than I found it this time.

D.R.A.K.E.'s writing style doesn't go in for much flourish.  His sentences tend to be very spare and matter-of-fact (perhaps because it's told in first-person-robot), but he links his statements together so beautifully that they build up a lot of emotional momentum.

A dozen great lines from Steve Gustafson's YEZUKRIIS III: LIFESTYLES OF THE LICH & FAMOUS:

1. DID YOU REMEMBER TO FEED THE OTYUGH?

2. I WOULD RIP YOUR CLOTHES OFF RIGHT NOW, IF YOU WERE WEARING ANY.

3. WELL, ELVES ARE SO HOITY TOITY IT'S NO WONDER.

4. "WHO GIVES A FIG, YOU OLD COOT!"

5. THE LAWYERS PATIENTLY EXPLAIN THAT OFFERING FAKE PLACES TO REST IS NOT ACTIONABLE ABSENT PROOF OF SPECIAL DAMAGES.

6. POODLES FROM HELL!

7. YOU PROBABLY FANCY THAT YOU COULD DEFEAT ME AS IF I WERE JUST ANOTHER MELODRAMATIC VILLAIN IN A FANTASY GAME!

8. SMURF NAZIS MUST DIE!

9. YOU GET INTO A FIGHT WITH A SLOW, LUMBERING FELLOW IN THE BAR.  HE JUST HAPPENS TO HAVE GREAT SUPERPOWERS.

10. THERE ARE GIANT ROACHES IN THE BEDS, BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT IS RELATIVELY COMFORTABLE HERE.

11. IF WE SURRENDERED TO THE LIKES OF YOU, WE'D PROBABLY GET DUMPED OUT OF THE GAME BY UTILITIES OR SOMETHING, A FATE TOO HORRIBLE TO CONTEMPLATE!

12. DON'T BLAME ME, I VOTED FOR CYRIC.

:D Thanks, hans! That reminds me Yezu 3 & 4 belong to the few hacked designs I haven't played yet - I had completely forgotten about them until now. And to think I was under the impression I had seen it all...  :-[
