Looking good, Dinonykos! :) I can't wait to play the next installment in the Friedrich saga.
"Friedrich saga"... sounds good... :) But keep in mind that the Friedrich adventures are only prequels to the great "Helmetsaga"... :D

I have decided to divide "Helmetlands" into three parts, by the way. As I have seen with Friedrich's Quest and Friedrich's Revenge, small designs are more motivating for beginners (I know, this is a "truism", or how you call that in English). The first part of Helmetlands will be a medium-size design (with around 24 40*40 square levels, I think).
By the way: Is "The Helmet Menace" an appropriate Title? :)

Only if the names of the other parts are "Attack of the Helmets" and "Revenge of the Helmets".  ;D

I thought rather of "Helmet Wars" and "Shogun's Revenge"

Wise in the ways of the farce are you. ;)

I think it should be "The Helmet Menace", followed by "The Helmet Menace II: I Kill You", and finally "The Helmet Wars III: I'm Going To Kill You So Dead That Even I, The Helmet Wearing Enemy, Will Feel Sad" ;) You know, or maybe not.

I think this guy comes quite close:

Although this is the preview to Friedrich's Revenge, here are some additional possible opponents (but not neccessarily villains) from Helmetlands:

I predict many enjoyable gaming hours in the Helmetlands in my future. ;)

I predict dozends of further designing hours... :(
However, once Friedrich's Revenge is completed (quite soon, I guess), I assume I will make rather quick progress with Helmetlands.

I wish I was making quick progress with something. Everything I'm working on, except converting GoldBox art to DC, is going very, very, very slowly.

Looking forward to FR and eventually Helmetlands is good motivation to get my stuff done so I can have time to play them without feeling guilty.

SIGH! I feel your pain.
Well, look at it this way: you aren't back to square zero having everything you did with DC (testing or creation) gone... for like the 3rd time...
reverting me to an advisory role at best, at worst some crack-pot who spouts off about ridiculously complex ideas that aren't worth the effort to design...
:D :D :D
(I'm allowed to poke a lil fun at myself... to survive you MUST have a sense of humor)

Please continue, as long as it does not prevent you from more important things! I assume I would have come to some of my solutions for DC problems much later if you had not contributed to some of the discussions (e.g., concerning event chains).
