This is an old example from Friedrich's Revenge showing a NPC wall with front and back. In case that the NPC turns to the party, it is of course easier since you only need a front...

Nol, you could easily change the orc wall to either nothing, or if you wanted, an orc corpse upon completion of the combat. ;) Is this more work than its worth? Maybe... :D :D :D
