Is there a spell reference somewhere?
« on: July 20, 2014, 09:44:19 AM »
I found myself wishing I could look up what a given spell actually does. There are tables that list the range and area of effect, but there are not descriptions. Should I go try to find my 1st Ed or 2nd Ed D&D books in the basement? For offensive spells, it is pretty easy to just try it and see, but for defensive spells, it is less clear. At the moment I'm wondering about Minor Globe of Invulnerability and Dimension Door, but there are many other spells. Also there are some, like Dimension Door, that had to be adapted to the computer game in a way where the description in the P&P rulebook will be of not much help.

The Adventurer's Journal for Pools of Darkness has spell descriptions. If you lost your original Adventurer's Journal, you can download a replacement copy here:
