Thanks for the explanation and the picture!  Hmm - I think I am starting to understand it, a bit!  I guess that in my own 2-story wall tests, I only did 2-story buildings into 1-story buildings (not the other way around), so I did not notice this potential problem...

These are "sea floor walls" (not meant in the sense of "sea-floor walls" but "sea floor-walls" :) ) based on Uatu's Sea wall.
I should probably do a second version with a kind of beach attached to the edges...

Cool - hey, I think I am sort of realizing what these walls can be used for (but still, they will use up a lot of wall slots I guess, with all the combinations!).

True, but since we have 192 slots, I think that is not really a limit. In DC 0.914 with its 96 slots, I sometimes had to reduce wall variation for one level, but I never had problems in DC 2.x/3.x

Nice wall-floors and wall-ceilings. :D

If 192 are not enough, let me know...we can change this.

For me, 192 is sufficient. :D

I also think this is quite enough. However, I did have to restart a project that had a large level full of stuff - 100x100 for a city. 192 was not near enough.

I tried to do a modern looking wall, I am not yet happy with it, but I will keep on it. I think it is easier to do walls with a structure or walls made out of bricks... :)

I think the wall looks good. :) (The backdrop, too)

In my way of thinking, I plan on doing several base walls of a similar kind, and then concentrate on doing overlays and doors to match. I think your wall looks good for a base.

Attached are a few new walls I did for "The 3rd Stain". Some of them are modified, based on walls Uatu or I did earlier...

I posted these for the 1024x768 resolution earlier. To make them look compatible with Uatu's style, I decreased the colour depth to values <257.

I also had made these for the 1024x768 resolution earlier. I had to do a few corrections after resizing them for the 640x480 resolution, and I decreased the colour depth a little, too...

The following walls have mainly been done by Uatu, I only modified a few slots a little so that they fit and transfered one of them (I think) to the hyper wall format. The things is that the otherwise great wallset generator by Daniel Morton is not able to handle slots D, C, M, and L properly...

EDIT: One background was made from a grid to fit with Uatu's medieval walls. I am going to post more backgrounds later...

Very nice walls and backdrops. They make me want to stop what I am doing and create some levels in DC.
