Is it possible to check for an equipment.ini file, and if present, add the equipment?

Or... if not a new file, then as a defined script variable (table/array)?

I mod the Legend of Grimrock series, and modders new to LoG1&2 quite often ask how to assign default equipment, so it's possibly a common desire among modders in general. Many have posted different scripts to allow assigning default equipment in both Grimrock games.

In DC, starting equipment is defined in the class database, and we can script gicing and taking of any item in the database. ;)

That's why I voted for "I don't care". Some designers will want to have default starting equipment set up for them, as it is one less thing to do. Other designers will want to create their own starting equipment, either through a script or in game by way of shop events.

If I were to vote on this, I would also go with "I don't care" for the same reasons. ;)

Okay, I'll change the database to rflect what I posted earlier. As always, designers will be able to edit this as they please or to use other methods to give party members items. :D
