With the latest release of the DC engine, version 2.81, Paul has fixed the Far Away wall graphics glitch.

Sorry, Manikus and Paul, I fear it is not completely fixed. Several walls which were not displayed correctly earlier are now displayed correctly, but I still found several which are not.

Is it slot related?
For examples, I think slots 18 and 29 did not work earlier, but do now, however slots 12, 14, 45, 48 seem to have problems, still.

I did tell Paul that the problem was solved in my mini-mod but we needed to get you on the case, as your testing would be more comprehensive. :D

When I first made my successfully glitching mini-mod, I saw a pink wall, but then never got back to that spot, facing in the right direction in the walk-around that would become the playfile.
Is that the only kind of error showing up? Or are there spots where the glitch fixed is still not fixed?

I don't know what Paul found and fixed, but I don't think it is slot-related as I was able to recreate all the errors with slot 1.

Er... what?  :-\

Sorry, I really did not get the meaning. It seems to me (if that was the question) that the problem is solved for certain walls (if it is not slot related, perhaps it is solved for certain combinations of the far away walls), but not for others, e.g. for a few walls without neighbouring walls.

Yeah, not that clear.

Are only pink boxes showing up, or ar there still spots where the center Far Away wall is showing a part of another wall?

There are still spots showing wrong wall parts (I think of the same wall, just wrong slot), and I think in one case a transparent section of the wall is shown.

I assume that some of these findings are redundant and I hope I listed them accordingly.

I wondered if the "missing" walls may in some case due to an empty slot J in the wall template, but I checked this for some walls and it seems to be independent from that.

I see there is a pattern in so far as often the most distant wall on the left side close to the 3d-view center shows a wrong section of the wall template (a "wall fragment", maybe sometimes a transparent area), and after making a side step, turns to magenta. Naturally, I may overlook some of these artifacts if they are hidden by other walls...

Square 5,9,S: "Conifer Wall" not visible (transparent section?)
Square 6,11,S: "Conifer Wall" magenta

Square 8,12,N: "Rock wall" wrong section/slot shown
Square 6,8,E: same
Square 10,14,N: same
Square 10,13,N: same
Square 9,12,N: same
Square 11,14,N: "Rock wall" magenta
Square 21,12,S: same

Square 22,11,S: Solitary tree missing
Square 27,17,E: same
Square 22,11,S: Solitary tree magenta
Square 27,18,E: same

Square 25,16,E: Hut door wrong section
Square 25,17,E: Hut door magenta

Square 25,24,E: Hut side wall wrong section
Square 25,25,E: Hut side wall magenta

Square 18,29,E: River magenta
Square 26,24,S: River magenta
Interestingly, it seems to me that in case of the river wall, the "wrong section" problem does not occur, but I am not sure.
