I fiidled around with this for an hour or so last night. Nothing wrong in the config.txt. Nothing wrong with the graphics files. So, its got to be the engine.

Tonight I will try and recreate this in a new design. If successful, that will be my mini-mod to Paul. If not successful, I will do a walk-through of your design and make that the mini-mod for Paul.

I started my other design in progress ("Friedrich's Fastnacht") with version 279 and had the same issues, but also with different walls. I conclude it is not design specific. What I cannot test that easily is if it may be tied to my wall format - but as written, I use the same wall format for all walls.

I just tested "Stolen Masterpiece" with 279, and though this uses totally different art (but the same wall format), I found the same issues. What I have not yet found out is why the same wall can be displayed correctly sometimes, and sometimes not. I assume it has something to do with the neighbouring walls.

That is exactly as i expected. I just wanted to verify that it wasn't the quik of one particular design (though, we would still want to try and fix that, too).

I'm going to work on this tonight and have something for Paul tomorrow.

I tried this in a 10x10 level mini-mod and it didn't occur. It oculd be the size of the level, it could be my particular layout. I will keep trying.

Since my previous post, I have created a 10x10 mini-mod. So not only are we getting that particular problem, but I can show a spot where there should be a far wall but there is nothing.

I will send this to Paul as soon as we resolve the current issue.

My guess is that the not-occurring walls are part of the same problem, only that transparent parts of the wall templates are displayed.

That's what I was thinking, too. In fact, if I had to guess, I would say that the engine is appying the offset for placement to the graphic first in some cases and looking at the wrong slot for others. But, I am sure that I am just guessing. :D
