Doh - now that you mention it, I think I read something about the brontosaurus in that way :D

As for real/prehistoric creatures in AD&D - I think that the idea was to have the names somewhat generalized, so as to be able to use the same statistics for mostly similar creatures ;)

Actually, this is the first time I became afraid of my own icon...

Very cool looking icon. It may be scary, but at least it's big enough that you can see it coming. ;)

Thanks!

I did Phorusrhacos ("Phororhacos") some years ago, I think the icon is still okay.

For Gorgosaurus, it should be okay to just reduce Uatu's Tyrannosaurus to 50% of its current size...

Here is Compsognathus (new icon)...

I think I leave Brachiosaurus/Giraffatitan to Uatu...  :laughing7:

Awesome new icons, Dinonykos. I will do some resizing of the T Rexx, too. :D
Thanks a bunch.

I only wonder if anybody is going to use the underwater add-on...

I am a little disappointed that there are no Eurypterids/Sea Scorpions in D&D. I added my old Eurypterid icon below the crabman anyway, maybe it might still find a way into the add-on? The statistics should be like a giant scorpion, just without the poison...

I would definitely use the underwater addon in later designs. It is just so good.

First of all, great icons. Your crabman is so much better lookinng than any of the published images of one that I am embarrassed for TSR. ;)

As for the Eurypterid, I see no reason not to add it. I have added underwater creatures that Uatu has done icons for - the caveat being that they are either 1) similar to a D&D creature or 2) a real world creature. The Eurypterid definitely meets this criteria. :D Plus, I can add it to the dinosaurs add-on.
I was reading the Wikipedia entry, which is very interesting. It has enough info for my purposes.

I am trying to use it, I never really knew rules for underwater adventuring and had only Murky Deep module that I haven't ever used :). It is actualy very interesting idea for me, but I have been only playing one FRUA adventure with underwater part (done by Prophetsword) and one 3e DDO Eberron Online adventure.

I am building a town with a port and it is located in big lake (sea) that is connected to ocean with river. There should be a lot of places for underwater adventuring though intialy I was thinking it to be a spelljamming port and it will be also beside being a major seaport with 2 big towns near.

Only problem for me is that You guys have much more experience and that I still can't make any icons as fast or modules :) as I wish I could, to be able to catch up with You.

But there should be some water adventuring, I was thinking to do first underground of the woods, then some aerial adventures for it too, and now it seems that I might do some underwater too. I was even thinking to do some elemental planes adventuring or something like that, I think I will probably :). Anyway I have made a map of Ashiera dungeons and some small coastal village too, I think I probably will do something like that again. They are explained in Dragon magazine 244 and they can swimm and fly :) and have some offensive magic and lances. Unfortunately I can't find any picture of it on the internet but there is a very good illustration in Dragon 244.

Okay, I had an idea and confirmed it on several RPG forums that I frequent...Eurypterid is based on Giant Scorpion/Giant Crayfish. In fact, I am already finished. :D

I won't need the entire add-on, but I will definitely be using parts of it... the icons are too good.
