That's a new one on me; I'd not seen that before today, (it just happened to me too). The link worked when I posted it.

Here is the same video, on a different link.

**The audio sounds like it's been just barely sped up; this wasn't the case with the first video.

When I click on this link, it takes me to a YouTube screen with an exclamation point and no video. What am I doing wrong?

Since I've recently begun work on a Buck Rogers mod set on Venus, I decided to read Perry Rhodan #14: Venus in Danger by Kurt Mahr to help set my mind in the proper mood.

(The Perry Rhodan adventures originally appeared in German pulp magazines, which numbered nearly 3000 issues, over a hundred of which were translated in English.)

The short novel was briskly paced and action packed.  In fact, it had at least as much action in its 105 pages as my previous post's First Power Play had in its well-over twice that.

Some of the science has become obsolete or discredited, and Venus was never the primeval jungle fantasy envisioned, but its similarities to one of Buck Rogers are quite close.

While no classic, it was a fun and lively read.

Many thanks, again, Steve!  Both versions are terrific!   :hello2:

I encourage you to UL both to the UA File Archive.

My preference is for the "66" and "99". I don't think "%" appears in the default text, though I stand to be corrected.

But, in any case, here is another version of the font that uses the "69" for quotes and preserves the "%".

Wow!  It's a thing of beauty, Steve!  Many thanks!   :notworthy:

I don't anticipate needing the "%" sign, and if I ever should I could simply write out "percent," but it's possible that other future authors might bemoan the loss.

The half-and-half BR Font does do the 66 thingee, but I noticed that the original all large BR Font used a 69 effect, as seen in the below screencap.  Perhaps some folks might prefer that over losing the "%" sign.  I can't remember whether the "%" is ever seen in the game as part of some default text...

What do you think?

Here is your font.

I copied all the lowercase letters to uppercase, and then I translated (almost all) the characters up one pixel, so the font would be vertically centred in menu buttons.

I also noticed that the quotation marks (which look like "66" with this font) looked a bit strange when used to close a quote, so I changed the "%" character (shift + 5) into a closing quotation mark. However, if you would prefer to have the "%" character back, please let me know.

If there is anything that is annoying you, or which you would just like me to tweak, please let me know and I'd be happy to do it.

Thanks, Steve!   :D

For special characters, whatever BR Font used is fine.  I'd like to preserve that distinctive old-style digital look while just making it an easier read.   :)

I was 12 when I first saw FRUA. I remember one of my friends showing me this new game he had just bought. He showed me how he had created an "adamantite golem" by editing the default iron golem.
