In general, you should be able to combine two different diff.tbls together by copying the lines from one and pasting them into the other - at least providing there is only one line in the resulting diff.tbl for each byte in ckit.exe. (Keep all the lines in byte order so that this can be checked.)

Depending on how extensive the hacks are, the combining of two diff.tbls may potentially produce some strange results - to take a relatively simple example, if pointers have been changed in one diff.tbl while the text to which those pointers refer has been changed in the other.

While I am not familiar with hakpak1 in particular, it sounds like the changes it makes, including to ckit.exe, must be very extensive since they appear to include two new events. This is likely to have required a lot of shuffling and rewriting parts of ckit.exe (ie, not just changes to STR002.DAT and SCRIPT.GLB).

It may be that the better way to proceed is to start with the more extensive set of hacks (which sounds like it is hakpak1 in your case) and then make any further necessary changes "manually" to alter anything that does not appear the way you want it. For example, using UGE, you could search ckit.exe for all occurrences of the word "Platinum" and change them to "Gold". This should enable you to change all references to platinum that appear to the player. (Menus that appear to the designer will still use "platinum" unless you also make necessary changes to the STR00X.DAT or SCRIPT.GLB files.)

...I am using the EFNORON World hack for my module but want to use the (hakpak1) 'Peekaboo' and 'Give Special Ability' Events. Is there a way to update the STR002.DAT  and SCRIPT.GLB to do this? Everything works fine by dropping the files into my MODULE.DSN folder but I'm not sure what I'm screwing up in the process. The only noticeable problem is the use of 'PLATINUM' with the hakpak1 when EFNORON uses GOLD. I am sure that's not the only issue...
 

I'm unfamiliar with "hakpak1."  Where do we keep copies of that?

I know that simoN's EFNORON World hack contains CKIT edits in the Diff.tbl file, which if IIRC is where the money name change is found, as well as many other changes.  If you're overwriting it with a different Diff.tbl file from hakpak1, then you'll lose all those EFNORON CKIT hacks. 

I hope my remark is not insultingly elementary to you, overthemountain, but I don't know what your knowledge/experience level is so far as working with UAShell and UA hacks.  Plus, I'm no programmer, either...   :P
