That Spectre looks really good.  I'd love to see what the recolored Cloud Giant looks like.

Your just going to have to wait until EGA16.DSN gets released...

The combat icons are finished.

The Wall Sets will be slow going... Goldboxfan has done a lot of the work already with NEVERWIN.DSN (Neverwinter Offline), but ensuring that only colors 0-15 are used, importing 5 walls into each of the 16 sets of 3, and testing for those annoying black boxes that show up during play means this next phase will take some time...

Anyway, here is a sample of some of the EGA Combat Icons.

I trust you've already checked my EGA mod for any that might be of use to you.

IIRC, the red brick set I imported into the Lava slots was a conversion I did of some pieces from the Hillsfar game...

The icons look great, btw!   ;D

I am definitely using some of the Walls from EGA.DSN - Kill the Heroes of Phlan. Especially ones that are modifications of EGA Goldbox wall sets.

As the EGA version of FRUA comes closer to completion, I'm reminded of how I actually played some of the earliest Gold Box games, with 4 colors (Cyan, Magenta, White, and Black) and PC Speaker Sound.

For the record, the palette I am using has 256 colors, but ONLY the first 16 colors are used, except for color #255 which is BRIGHT GREEN for transparency. Any attempt to use colors with indexes larger than 15 will result in ORANGE pixels. The exact same palette is used for small pics, frames, wall sets, backdrops, combat icons, etc. The point of this is that if you import a new set of ALWAYS art it will change ALL the colors in ALL the images.

The only exception to the rule is that DUNGCOM art needs to make index #72 = Black, index #79 = White, and index #87 = Gray because of the icon selection screen at character creation time.

For the record, I converted all the Gold Box Walls to .pngs at p://frua.rosedragon.org/pc/art/g/gbewalls.zip

I just didn't make them into wallsets. Many of the NWN-O wallsets are the same as other GoldBox wallsets as mentioned here http://ua.reonis.com/index.php?topic=2344.30

When I made the Buck Rogers wallsets they used more colors than UA allowed, so I reduced the colors and copied the walls with more colors onto a palette with less colors. I believe unused colors adopted the color with the number closest to their own. So if you copied an image to a template with only an ega palette it should convert the image without creating greyspace. Hopefully.
