SHUA: Best Comic Covers & Artists
« on: July 02, 2014, 03:41:01 PM »
I thought I'd start a new topic to share opinions on what have been some of the best (or favorite) comicbook covers and their artists, using links so as not to needlessly use up Forum space.

To start off, here are some classic covers by Jim Steranko:

Captain America #111:

Perez is one of the best at handling "cast-of-thousands" style projects, which put him in great demand for huge Crisis type storylines.

Here are several of his best (IMO) wrap-around covers for DC's Who's Who:

I feel that John Buscema was always more solid than flashy in his art, but he did one of the all-time greatest classic comicbook covers, from The Avengers #57:

It was genius to restrict the color palette to red.  Normal coloring wouldn't have given it the awesome apocalyptic power that it found.

Here are a few other great John Buscema covers:

I like the work of Adam Hughes. Here is something less modern.

Everett Hibbard (1940):
All-Star Comics #3

Carmine Infantino (1967):
Superman #199

Dick Giordano (1975):
