Yes, Ecl editing is awesome.
From time to time, people here express interest in a DragonLance Unlimited Adventures, a Dragonlance version of FRUA. This ability to edit Ecls might be the first step in that direction.

I don't know if this might be a thing, but if I have the error log open in my text editor when I do someting in the engine or editor, I get a warning to update the doc in the text editor. If I chose no, but continue to do stuff in the engine or editor and then save in my text editor, it make s mess. Maybe something like this is occurring? Admittedly, it usually crashes something - tet editor or Windows folder.

Dinonykos, do you have any clues that might prove relevant?

I think I will redo the above walls - take the name off and make a few name overlays. Maybe make a different colored version?

The only drawback for working on walls and backdrops is that I am not working muc on the coding. (But, I am thinking about it...)

Both of those log files seem rather remarkable.

If they contained the first two lines of the log then
that could be a clue.

If they contained the last two lines of the log then
that could be a clue.

If they contained the first line and the last line then
that could be a clue.

But.....it seems they contain the first line and one of the
middle lines.  Perhaps that is a clue but I am clueless.

I tried one of those out the other night. It worked great. 8)

(Not that I'd use a photo of James Earl Jones in a mod...It was just an experiment)

**Has supporting animated files ever come up in DC discussions?  AFAIK... GIF & aPNG can encode just the changes in subsequent frames... with no need for full-frame repetition.  (And it goes without saying that they come with... variable frame-rates.)

The reason I mention it, is because doing something even so simple as the Phlan Deluge—in DC, is not simple at all.

AFAIK, DC does not support animated big-pics, and does not support looped videos.  The Phlan Deluge is just six frames long. An AVI of that is just over a megabyte in size, and plays in a fraction of a second. You'd have to make the video itself be of the loop.  60 frames of that (is not long enough), and that's nearly fourteen megabytes.

The aPNG image format works like GIFs, but supports 24-bit color and 8-bit transparency.
