It's a wonderful program!
On behalf of the various guys who helped write it - thank you!

Export dialog remembers the last folder
*Perhaps even per file type.
Good idea, we'll try and get it into 1.3

Geo__.dax explore mode to also use the arrow keys for movement.
I thought of this too, about 5 seconds after I first tried using explore mode. The problem is the up and down arrow keys are already in use for moving between files. Perhaps we can temporarily hijack them in explore mode.

Is there any chance that a future version could import images back into the dax file?
That's definitely where I want to head - modifying the game files after we can read them. Although jhirvonen is a lot further along this path with his Gold Box Companion. I don't know if he's gotten up to image importation yet.

People still using this? New features wanted? Is there something missing that should be there...

Could the arrows apply to whatever control has the mouse focus?

Isha Nha, that's unfortunate. What about this page instead? https://www.openhub.net/p/goldbox

I can't see a Download button, do you need to sign in?

You're right. At a glance, the link I provided appears to be an analysis of the code and not the code itself. Hopefully someone still has the original source! Here is version 1.2 and I'm not sure if 1.3 ever made it: http://frua.rosedragon.org/pc/misc/gbexplorer-1.2.zip

Another wonderful tool is GBC: http://personal.inet.fi/koti/jhirvonen/gbc/

I still use it. If anyone were going to update it, the version I have at least shows the walls on the 'walk-through' but not the backdrop; if there's a way to display that too, that'd be nice. Also it's not clear where you are in each dungeon.

openhub is site for blackduck, which I've used in a previous job, which scan software code bases looking for opensource software, to make sure you are not violating GPL etc.

I still the code that I used to make build 1.2, I have post that to git hub.

Also it's not clear where you are in each dungeon.

I was noticing that while just testing the code, there is a grey arrow point to where are, it can be seen on green squares, but is visually lost when on the grey squares.
