5th Edition D&D
« on: February 22, 2015, 02:53:33 PM »
I know a couple of people on the boards are playing 5th Edition.  I'm curious to hear your feedback on it, now that all the core books have been released.

My group has been playing 5E since the playtest.  My current campaign started in January of 2014, and we've been having a blast.  But I know some people don't like the current version of D&D.  For those that have played it, what do you like or dislike about it?

Been DMing a full campaign since 09/2014, running approximately twice a month. I started the Adventurers League group at a local game store, which is still running strong for Encounters, but my Expeditions group petered out due to store hour changes.

I like the art.
I like the flat math.
I like the scaled back rules.
I like the return to "classic" magic items.
I like the (mostly) balanced options for characters.
I like the optional and variant rules provided to make the game how you'd like.
I like the way the game feels like a melding of all editions into something greater than the sum of its parts.

I like almost everything about the new edition thus far.

I dislike the return of CR for monsters.
That's about all i really dislike.
