There are several dark bard songs composed for the Skyrim Total Conversion mod Enderal (by German modding team SureAI)  that might fit the Halloween theme. They were even translated to English, although I think the original German versions are much better. For example:

Das Lied vom Schwarzen Wächter / The Black Guardian
Das Lied vom Alten Mann / The Aged Man
Das Lied vom Winterhimmel / The Winter Sky
Das Lied von den Wildmagiern / The Wild Mages

I like english version very much. I listened to the first song and it is very nice and inspiring.

Something Wild (From "Pete's Dragon"), but that channel is full of nice songs from Disney movies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2lVEiwKVFM

And a bit different version of it:

Aslan by Kendall Payne https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m76wSTnwZAk

Starting to read 3rd book of Narnia, hoping that I will start working with DC soon. I am trying to bring my dad into all this, not sure if it is a good idea but I think it might be good :)

There were a lot of Flash Gordon knock-offs during the Golden Age of Comics. I just discovered "Space Patrol" by Basil Wolverton from "Amazing Mystery Funnies v2 #12", Centaur Publishing, December 1939. http://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=20547

Wolverton is a favorite of mine.  A unique visionary.  His offbeat style heavily influenced many underground cartoonists.

Here's a nice slideshow of his sci-fi comics work:

Here's a slideshow of his more famous, humorous grotesques:

Here's a slightly animated version of his classic sci-fi comic story "The Brain-Bats of Venus"...

I always liked Basil Wolverton's covers for Plop! magazine in the 1970's and his famous "Beautiful Girl of the Month" cover for MAD magazine.

I wonder if his Brain-Bats were the inspiration behind the Mind Flayers in AD&D.
