1993:
* Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures is released by SSI in March of 1993
* The first module reviews appear in UANL #1. The modules are "Mystery at Claystone" by Troubador and "Sword and Romance" by Uranus Seto
* The FRUA AOL forum is born. It runs until sometime in 2001
* Bart Jackson begins work on Charedit
1994:
* The first hacked module is released: "Knight of the Living Dead" by Peter Delaney
1995:
* Bart Jackson's Charedit is released in July 1995
* The frua-dev mailing list and the original file archive (ftp.giga.or.at) are created
1996:
* Mycroft's Module List stops being maintained. John Viveiros takes over as "Module List Maintainer"
* Ben Sanderfer's first released module "Night of the Basilisk" is created in August 1996
* Work begins on the large-scale but ultimately failed DrowUA project
1997:
* The first superhero module, "Super Defenders" by Doc Sabre, is released
* The Unlimited Adventures Newsletter is released in HTML format for the first time
1999:
* John Kochmar creates the Yahoo Group version of the frua-dev mailing list (games.groups.yahoo.com/group/ua) - which has run from March 1999 until the present day
* Juanita Hubbard creats frua.corhub.com in August 1999 as a place to download graphic files for FRUA using a web-based GUI
2000:
* Ray Dyer's "Realm" series of modules begins in June 2000
2001:
* By 2001, Robert Foster had created the Magic Mirror of the giga.or.at archive frua.dns2go.com - saving many thing which would have otherwise been lost
2002:
* The mirror of the Magic Mirror at frua.rosedragon.org is created
2003:
* FRUA celebrates it's 10th anniversary, even though some predict the death of the hobby is forthcoming
2009:
* Ben Sanderfer creates the FRUA forums at frua.isgreat.org in March 2009
* Donnie Ewald begins hosting the FRUA forums at ua.reonis.com - once again saving many things which would have been lost - and bringing the mailing list and file archive together in a single place with the forum
2010:
* Ben Jockish releases his epic module "The Sect"
* The Unlimited Adventures Newsletter is revived after a three-year hiatus
2013:
* FRUA celebrates it's 20th anniversary, despite rumors that the hobby died off long ago
2015:
* FRUA and other Gold-Box games are released for sale on Good Old Games, creating an influx of new designers and players.
