I just created a shortcut with Windows Explorer and it seems to work for me, even if I move the design folder to a different location. I hope it works for other people, too.

By other locations, do you mean just on your machine or on other machines?

If it works for others, that is awesome. If it doesn't, then it's relatively easy to edit so that it does work. :)

Nah, same machine. I moved the shortcut and the file it links to from C:/games/ua2 to C:/users/.../downloads and started it there.
