Have you considered releasing a demo of your game that allows folks to play the first dungeon for free, up until they try to exit?  You could possibly get more people interested that way.

I understand about the Demi-human advancement.  I'm glad you've allowed them to go beyond whatever the standard level limits are.  I'm more used to AD&D, and I can say that my least favorite thing about 1E rules are the demi-human level limits.  Also, the Ring of Protection +1 I mentioned in an earlier post appears to be working now, even tho I'm certain it wasn't giving the AC bonus before.
There was an area in which prior to each combat it gave a message seemingly indicating various different encounters.  Something like 'Manticores attack' and then the next was 'Cockatrices attack', and so on - each indicating a different opponent.  However, when the encounter actually came up, every battle in that area was against animated statues.  The 1 exception was a battle with a medusa and some animated statues.  I'm thinking this was in Mount Cayley, but I could be mistaken which area it was.

I have.  I have also considered maintaining multiple games with the same basic structure, but varying rules (basic, advanced, D20).  I haven't done this yet because it takes time I would rather spend on the core parts of the game that are not yet there - for example, mercantile pursuits and conquering and running a kingdom.

Level limits bug me no end.  I prefer slow advancement and added benefits.  The original level limits were meant to justify a human-centric world (as opposed to one where dwarves or elves were the majority).  I figure a low birthrate for dwarves and elves provides a better rationale, and one that doesn't arbitrarily mess up the game.

Mount Caylet is a mountain name randomly assigned to a quest set in caves.  This just means you were playing a randomly-generated quest when you found this bug.

The game scales encounters based on total party levels and a scaling factor (e.g. hard fight - 100% of levels, easy fight, 25% of levels).  Monsters are added until their level adds up to the target.  If the set of monsters varies (e.g. orcs and ogres vs just orcs), then lower-level parties may not have the levels necessary to ever see the ogres - they may just get the orcs.  Unfortunately, somewhere I have it coded to say "ogres attack" instead of "orcs attack" ... another bug to sort out.

Two more bugs.  I'm using what you're calling Update 7 (not Update 8).
- Silence 15 Radius does not prevent anyone from casting.  Both party members and enemies can cast as usual.
- Sometimes a portion of a map is inaccessible.  In some cases almost all of the map is inaccessible, making it impossible to complete a mission.  Screen shot attached.  In this case only the first room - top left corner - is accessible.  I did a Reveal Map to see the rest.

Is this a bug or are you not seeing a secret door?  Does Reveal Map show the secret doors?

I don't think there are secret doors.  I tried searching.  Also, the info in the top left (see screen shot from earlier post) should tell you how many secret doors there should be.  In this case it says nothing, so there aren't any.

Ah yes, I didn't notice it didn't give you information on the secret doors up at the top.  Just thought I'd ask...as I once thought I had found a bug in my early playing, only to realize I just hadn't found a secret door.  Outlander78 confirmed it's a bug, anyway.

I have fixed the defect for orphaned rooms.  This will be included in update 9.  I'll look into the 'silence' bug next.

The silence bug is fixed as well.  I have a lot of work left to do to finish up update 9, but it will include both fixes.
