Can Colors in Combat Icons Be Changed?
« on: July 06, 2013, 07:44:22 PM »
Some of the combat icons from Buck Rogers don't match the default icon palette. I made a palette with just the BR colors, put black in 0, the transparency in 255 and filled in the empty spaces with the default pink-purple. I've tried this and various other ways and the image shows up really bad. I even deleted all the other TLB files to make sure they weren't interferring. Are these colors unchangeable?

Combat icons don't have their own palette - they use whatever palette the dungeon combat images use.

The first 32 colors should usually be left to the default values and color 255 should be the transparent color. This leaves you with about 224 colors to use for your dungcoms and the combat icons should have the same palette as the dungcoms.

I actually converted 1 of the 2 buck dungeons to the new palette. It wasn't the one that the combat icons showed up in - which I didn't notice. Once I replaced the default the new icons showed up correctly. This heat wave is making me stupid.
